Conner Street Make-Up Work Procedures:
If your child is absent for more than one day and you want to pick up make-up work, please follow these procedures: Parents must call the school before 9:00 to request make up work. It will then be available for pick up at school between 2:00-2:55, or can be sent home with a sibling if requested. Please do not call for make-up work unless you intend to pick it up. We need to minimize classroom disruptions and this allows us time to gather work. Thank you for following this policy. If it is a one day absence, the student can get their make-up work the following day.
The attendance policy requires all absence excuses to be turned into the teacher the day the student returns. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
We are taking appointments for kindergarten registration for the 2020-2021 school year. Kindergarten registration will be at Conner Street Elementary on March 8 and March 9. EVERY student who will be in kindergarten at Conner Street next year needs to schedule an appointment and go through the registration process. This includes students in our pre-k classes at Conner Street and students in pre-k classes at other county based centers. Please spread the word to any families you know that the time to call for K registration is now! Thanks for your help. The school’s phone number is (304)562-9351.
We are accepting donations of items for the carnival baskets: Pre-K- gift cards, K-rainy day, 1st- kitchen, 2nd- “Man” basket, 3rd- Hurricane Redskins, 4th-Marshall, and 5th- WVU. These baskets will be raffled off at the carnival. Thanks for your help!
